Overview:

The Stoptech Power Slot Rotor (REAR) is a premium direct replacement brake rotor designed specifically for the Subaru BRZ model years 2013 through 2016. Engineered to enhance braking performance while maintaining compatibility with factory brake systems and stock calipers, this rotor is an excellent upgrade for enthusiasts seeking improved stopping power and reliability. Its distinctive slotted design not only adds a sporty aesthetic behind your wheels but also plays a critical role in optimizing brake pad contact and heat dissipation.

Ideal for drivers who demand consistent braking performance in both daily driving and spirited conditions, the Stoptech Power Slot Rotor delivers enhanced bite, reduced pad glazing, and superior wet and dry braking capabilities. This rotor is built to last, offering corrosion resistance and durability to withstand the rigors of aggressive driving and extended use.

Key Features:

Stoptech’s Power Slot Rotor incorporates advanced technology and materials to provide a noticeable upgrade over standard factory rotors. Key features include:

• One-piece direct replacement design for easy installation with factory brake systems and stock calipers
• Unique slotted pattern that improves heat and brake dust dispersal, preventing pad glazing and maintaining consistent friction
• Black e-coating for superior corrosion resistance and long-lasting appearance
• High carbon metallurgy with added molybdenum and chromium to resist cracking and enhance rotor durability
• Reduced pad squeal thanks to advanced metallurgy, especially effective with high-friction European-style brake pads
• Improved wet and dry braking performance through enhanced bite and pad contact
• Sporty visual upgrade that complements the aggressive styling of performance vehicles

Construction & Design:

The Stoptech Power Slot Rotor is crafted from premium high carbon cast iron, which offers superior thermal conductivity and resistance to cracking under extreme braking conditions. The addition of molybdenum and chromium in the metallurgy further strengthens the rotor, making it more resilient to the stresses of high-performance driving. The black e-coating not only protects against rust and corrosion but also provides a sleek, finished look that maintains its appearance over time.

The rotor’s slotted design is engineered to channel heat and brake dust away from the pad surface, reducing the risk of glazing and maintaining optimal friction levels. This design also helps to evacuate water during wet conditions, improving braking consistency and safety.

Performance & Sound

Stoptech’s advanced metallurgy and slotted rotor design contribute to quieter brake operation by minimizing pad squeal, a common issue with high-performance brake pads. The rotor’s enhanced bite and improved heat dissipation translate into more confident braking response and reduced fade during aggressive driving or track use. This makes the Power Slot Rotor an excellent choice for drivers looking to upgrade their braking system without compromising daily drivability or comfort.

Installation & Fitment:

This rotor is a direct fit replacement for the rear brakes of the 2013–2016 Subaru BRZ, requiring no modifications to the existing brake system or calipers. Installation is straightforward and can be completed using standard tools by a professional or experienced DIY enthusiast. The rotor is designed to work seamlessly with factory hardware and brake pads, though pairing it with high-performance or European-style pads will maximize its benefits.
