Construction & Design

Each Billetworkz shift knob is meticulously crafted from high-grade 6061 aluminum, known for its excellent strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance. Following machining, the knobs are polished to a flawless mirror finish, creating a perfect base for the anodizing process. The design accommodates the unique reverse lockout mechanism found on the 2022+ BRZ and GR86, with specific shape recommendations and adaptor options to ensure seamless integration and functionality.

Installation & Fitment

Installation is straightforward for enthusiasts familiar with aftermarket shift knobs. The Short Teardrop shape installs directly with an OEM-like fit due to its compatibility with the factory reverse lockout. For other shapes—Sphere, Lightbulb, Tall Teardrop, Piston, and Sledge—a Reverse Lockout Adaptor is recommended to provide the necessary clearance and prevent interference with the reverse lockout mechanism.

The adaptor raises the shift knob slightly, eliminating any gap between the base of the knob and the lockout, ensuring a secure and precise fit. No permanent modifications to the vehicle’s shifter assembly are required, making this an easy upgrade for both street and track use.
