Due to the oversized factory reverse lockout mechanism on the BRZ, FR-S, and 86, the Short Teardrop shape fits perfectly without modification. For all other shapes—Sphere, Lightbulb, Tall Teardrop, Piston, and Sledge—a Reverse Lockout Adaptor is recommended to achieve proper clearance and eliminate any gap between the knob base and the lockout.

This ensures a secure, OEM-like fit and prevents interference with the reverse lockout function. The shift knob threads directly onto the factory shifter shaft, making it a quick and effective upgrade for enthusiasts seeking both style and performance.
