Note that due to the oversized factory reverse lockout mechanism on these models, only the Short Teardrop shape achieves a direct OEM fit. For other shapes such as Sphere, Lightbulb, Tall Teardrop, Piston, and Sledge, a Reverse Lockout Adaptor is recommended to ensure proper clearance and eliminate any gap between the knob base and lockout.

Construction & Design

Each Billetworkz shift knob is meticulously CNC machined from premium 304 stainless steel, ensuring exceptional durability and resistance to corrosion. The weighted design adds mass to the shift knob, which helps to smooth out gear changes by reducing the effort needed to move the shifter. Laser engraving is used to permanently mark shift patterns and logos, guaranteeing long-lasting legibility without fading or peeling.

Installation & Fitment

Installation is straightforward and designed to fit the factory shifter on 2022 and newer Subaru BRZ and Toyota GR86 models. The Short Teardrop shape installs with an OEM-style fit and does not require additional components. For other shapes—Sphere, Lightbulb, Tall Teardrop, Piston, and Sledge—a Reverse Lockout Adaptor is recommended to ensure proper clearance with the factory reverse lockout mechanism. This adaptor prevents any gap between the knob base and lockout, providing a secure and precise fit. No permanent modifications are necessary, making installation quick and reversible.
