Please note that due to the oversized factory reverse lockout on these models, only the Short Teardrop shape achieves a perfect OEM fit without additional parts. For other shapes like Sphere, Lightbulb, Tall Teardrop, Piston, and Sledge, a Reverse Lockout Adaptor is recommended to ensure proper clearance and a seamless installation.

Construction & Design

The Billetworkz shift knob is meticulously crafted from premium 304 stainless steel, known for its excellent strength and resistance to rust and wear. Each knob is CNC machined to exacting tolerances, ensuring a perfect fit and consistent quality. After machining, the knobs undergo thorough cleaning and are powdercoated to provide a durable, scratch-resistant finish that stands up to daily use.

Laser engraving technology is used to permanently etch the Japanese shift pattern and logos onto the surface, delivering sharp, fade-resistant markings that maintain their clarity over time. The weighted design adds mass to the knob, which helps dampen shift lever vibrations and promotes a more fluid shifting feel.

Installation & Fitment

Installation is straightforward for the 2022 and newer Subaru BRZ and Toyota GR86 equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission. The Short Teardrop shape installs directly onto the factory reverse lockout mechanism, providing an OEM-style fit without modification. For other shapes, the included Reverse Lockout Adaptor is recommended to raise the knob slightly, ensuring adequate clearance and eliminating any gap between the knob base and the lockout.
