Installation & Fitment:
This exhaust wrap is designed to fit most automotive and motorcycle exhaust systems, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of applications. It is especially effective on steel and stainless steel exhaust pipes but is not recommended for use on titanium exhaust systems due to the risk of overheating and premature cracking of titanium alloys.
Installation is straightforward with no need for pre-wetting or additional coatings. The wrap secures tightly and conforms easily to bends and curves, providing a snug fit that stays in place after heat cycling. However, it is important to avoid wrapping catalytic converters, flex-pipes, or flex-joints, as these areas require heat dissipation and flexibility that the wrap cannot provide.

Usage Notes & Recommendations
After the wrap has been heat cycled, the fibers lose their initial flexibility, which does not affect thermal performance but makes removal difficult. For this reason, plan your installation carefully and avoid wrapping components that require movement or flexibility. Wrapping catalytic converters is discouraged as it may cause overheating and reduce their lifespan.
DEI does not recommend wrapping titanium exhaust pipes because the thin alloys used in these systems dissipate heat quickly. Wrapping titanium can trap excessive heat, causing the metal to become brittle and prone to cracking.
