Important installation notes:
- Do not wrap catalytic converters, as excessive heat retention can reduce their lifespan.
- Avoid wrapping flex-pipes or flex-joints, since the wrap is not designed to be removed or repositioned after heat cycling.
- DEI does not recommend wrapping titanium exhaust pipes, as the heat retention can cause the titanium alloy to become brittle and prone to cracking.
After initial heat cycling, the fibers lose flexibility but retain their thermal protection properties. Plan your installation carefully to avoid the need for removal or adjustment.
