Construction & Design:
The fuel pump hanger features a one-piece anodized aluminum collector box designed to simplify installation while enhancing fuel collection efficiency. The integrated 1-way fill valve allows fuel to enter the collector but prevents it from escaping, ensuring a constant supply of fuel to the pump inlet(s). This design is continuously replenished by fuel returning from the aftermarket fuel pressure regulator, maintaining optimal fuel levels during all driving conditions.
The system’s fittings utilize ORB (O-ring boss) threads—3/4"-16 (8AN ORB) for the pump-out port and 9/16"-18 (6AN ORB) for the return port—providing leak-free, high-pressure connections. The electrical terminals have been upgraded with anti-rotation features to prevent loosening and ensure consistent power delivery to the pumps.
Fuel Pressure & Filtration
This fuel pump hanger eliminates the OEM internal fuel pressure regulator, requiring the use of an aftermarket regulator to maintain proper fuel pressure. Plumbing kits compatible with this hanger include a fuel pressure regulator and a low-micron post-pump fuel filter to protect injectors from debris, as the OEM post-pump filter is also removed.
The redesigned venturi jet pump siphon system reduces fuel pressure restrictions found in the factory setup, allowing higher flowing pumps to operate reliably. However, the venturi jet pump consumes 15–45 LPH depending on fuel pressure, so this should be considered when selecting pump size. For applications requiring stable fuel pressure after engine shutdown, a check valve is recommended and included in compatible plumbing kits.
