Construction & Design:
The GenV PowerGate60 is a ground-up redesign of Turbosmart’s classic external wastegate, retaining only the mounting orientation from the previous Gen4 model. Its body is crafted from high-temp 347 stainless steel, paired with a Nitronic 60 valve guide to provide superior wear resistance and longevity. The inverted diaphragm is specifically engineered to handle large pressure differentials found in compressed gas and CO2 applications, making it uniquely suited for drag racing and other high-boost scenarios.
Advanced computational fluid dynamics (CFD) were employed in-house to optimize flow and thermal management, resulting in a wastegate that maintains consistent performance even under extreme thermal loads. The actuator housing’s rotatable design allows for flexible hose routing, simplifying installation and customization to fit a wide range of vehicle setups.
