Construction & Design:
The wrap is made from a unique fiber material derived from pulverized lava rock, which is stranded and woven into a proprietary diagonal pattern. Unlike traditional wraps that require soaking before installation, the DEI Exhaust Wrap can be applied dry, saving time and effort. Its design also eliminates the need for additional silicone coatings, while still providing excellent heat containment and durability.
Installation & Fitment:
This exhaust wrap is designed to fit most automotive and motorcycle exhaust systems with a width of 2 inches and a length of 50 feet, providing ample material for multiple pipes or complex exhaust layouts. Its pliability makes it easy to wrap around tight bends and irregular shapes.
Installation does not require pre-wetting or special coatings, and no cutting, drilling, or tuning is necessary. Simply wrap the material tightly around the exhaust pipe and secure it with clamps or ties as needed.

Important Usage Notes
Wrapping catalytic converters is not advised, as excessive heat retention can reduce their lifespan. The wrap is not designed to be removed once it has been heat cycled; fibers lose flexibility after exposure to high temperatures, though thermal protection remains effective. Avoid wrapping flex-pipes or flex-joints to prevent damage.
DEI does not recommend using this wrap on titanium exhaust systems. Titanium alloys are thin and engineered to dissipate heat quickly; wrapping these pipes can trap heat, causing the metal to become brittle and prone to cracking prematurely.
