Skunk2’s close collaboration with their foundry and rigorous material testing ensures that only the highest quality steel is used. The rods undergo a meticulous manufacturing process including heat-treating, tempering, and shot-peening to enhance fatigue resistance and durability.
The H-beam design was developed using Finite Element Analysis to identify and reinforce high-stress areas, resulting in a rod that distributes load evenly and reduces wear. The two-piece forging method aligns the metal grain along the rod cap in the direction of stress, significantly increasing strength compared to traditional one-piece rods. Additionally, the dual offset oil passages provide superior lubrication and cooling, reducing friction and extending rod life under demanding conditions.
Installation & Fitment:
